Privacy Policy

Short version: no accounts, no cookies, no ads. Your quiz answers stay on your device. I see anonymous visit counts and, only if you send it yourself, your anonymous feedback.

2. Answers and history in your browser (local storage)

So you can pause the quiz and continue later, the site stores data in your browser’s local storage:

  • Your answers: choices from the speed round, skipped questions, your inputs on capital, time, skills and passions (including ones you typed yourself), and the timer setting.
  • Your history: when you restart the quiz, the site remembers the date and the top three models of your previous result (ten entries at most).

This data is not sent to me or to any third party, and I have no access to it. It is stored only to run the quiz you are using, for which it is necessary (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG). You can delete it at any time: “Restart the quiz” deletes the answers, “Delete history” deletes the history. Clearing this site’s data in your browser removes both as well.

3. Hosting and server logs

The site is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you open the site, Cloudflare processes technically necessary connection data, in particular your IP address, date and time, the requested address, the status code, and browser and device type. This is needed to deliver the site and protect it against abuse.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (my legitimate interest in running the site securely and reliably). Cloudflare acts as my processor; Cloudflare’s data processing agreement is part of its terms of service. The data is kept only as long as these purposes require. I do not analyse it myself and I do not build user profiles.

Because Cloudflare is based in the USA, data may be transferred there. The transfer relies on the European Commission’s adequacy decision for the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, under which Cloudflare is certified, and additionally on standard contractual clauses.

4. Cloudflare Web Analytics

I use Cloudflare Web Analytics to get a rough sense of how often the site is visited. The service sets no cookies and stores nothing else in your browser, builds no user profile, and does not follow you across other websites. It records things like the page viewed, load time, country (derived from your IP address, which itself is not stored), device type, and referring page. Only I see the results, and only in aggregate.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (my legitimate interest in understanding whether and how the site is used). Because the service sets no cookies and neither stores nor reads anything on your device, no consent under § 25 TDDDG (the German cookie-consent law) is required for it. The provider is Cloudflare, Inc., as with hosting above, including the US-transfer basis described there. You can object to this processing under Art. 21 GDPR at any time; just write to me.

No ads, no other third-party content: this site shows no advertising and embeds no third-party service other than Cloudflare Web Analytics. Fonts are served from this site itself.

5. Feedback on your result (optional)

After your result you can give stars, pick a few keywords and write one sentence. Only when you press “Send” is the following sent to a small service on this domain and stored in a database at Cloudflare: your stars, your choice, your sentence (if you write one), your top-ranked model, the site language and the time. Your quiz answers, your IP address and your browser type are not stored. Please do not put personal data in the text field. That Cloudflare processes technical connection data when you visit the site is covered in section 3.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (my legitimate interest in improving the test). Cloudflare acts as my processor. I delete entries after twelve months at the latest. A single entry cannot be linked to a person. If you have questions, write to me.

6. Contacting me by email

If you write to me, I process your email address and message to reply (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, or (b) if a contract is involved). I delete them once your request is resolved and no retention duty applies.

7. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20 GDPR). You may object at any time to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR). To do so, write to js.tempo@proton.me.

You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority, for example the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of Baden-Württemberg, Lautenschlagerstraße 20, 70173 Stuttgart, Germany, baden-wuerttemberg.datenschutz.de.

You are not obliged to provide personal data. There is no automated decision-making with legal effect. The quiz result is calculated entirely in your browser.
